THANK YOU!
Another year of memories, friendships, learning, and growing. God has used each day to further create our students into the young people he has called them to be from all eternity.I pray your family has a safe and fun summer together, filled with love and joy.Congratulations to Allie Cundiff, our senior graduate. We will miss you Allie but hopefully, you will stay in touch, letting us know all the wonderful things you are doing!
May God bless you and always keep you by His side.
PRINCIPAL’S CORNER – Mrs. Morales
Thank you for all the well wishes this past week at Ballwin Snocone. I truly enjoyed getting to chat with so many of our families, and I loved the heartfelt words and cards. I also understand how busy your lives are and I understand if you were unable to attend, and I will miss every single one of you. Each of your children will always have a special place in my heart.
On Thursday, we had the pleasure of watching Brer Rabbit- A Day of Learning. The high school drama class, along with other students who auditioned, made up the actors in the show. Katy Hodge did a wonderful job of teaching the various roles within a theater production from sound effects to media to ushers. All the kids seemed confident and said their lines with good volume and clarity, not to mention the kids loved doing it! We hope to see more of these in the future! If you missed it, you could check out this link!
Field Day was an (exhausting) hit! Everyone participated in activities inside and outside with their homeroom class and relay races with the whole school. The activities included XL Memory, Jenga, and Connect Four, plus Cheetos toss, Ping Pong Cups, and Perler beads. The highlight of this year’s field day was a HUGE inflatable obstacle course! The obstacle course was generously donated by Kathy Ray’s mother. We all thank you so much! The school reviewed “sportsmanship” in the morning and next week we will announce the students who showed the best character traits!

It was the BEST week ever! As our year comes to an end, we are enjoying time with the wonderful family we have created. This week, we created a roly-poly farm and had fun observing and learning about these little bugs. We are counting down the days until we get to celebrate two of our favorite friends. Happy birthday to Theo and Jonathan! We were very proud of all the students who participated in the production of Brer Rabbit, but especially our friend Ezekiel. He did such a great job. Thank you to Mrs. Hodge for producing this amazing play! Throughout the week, we earned class points for every good thing we did, reaching 100 points very quickly. We celebrated with popsicles on the playground, and Mrs. Lewis surprised us with not just one but TWO popsicles! Field Day was our favorite part of the week. The bounce house was our favorite activity. A BIG thank you goes out to Mrs. McGrath, Mrs. Ray’s sweet mom, who made the bounce house possible. Thank you so much!!
MIDDLE SCHOOL 1 & 3
Both classes have finished the novel, The Great American Dust Bowl. Middle School 1 started a PowerPoint project about the Dust Bowl and will present it to the class. Middle School 3 has started making their short book about the Dust Bowl and sharing it with the class.
MIDDLES SCHOOL 2
We are learning that banks make investments in Missouri’s businesses. We are also learning that banks and budgets can help people save money to meet their needs.
HIGH SCHOOL 2
We are learning to explain nationalism and how nations developed. We are also learning about the rise and fall of Spain as a powerful
nation.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 2
This week we learned about the life cycle of a star. We created interstellar nebulas and explored the process of how a star is formed and what stars are made of. We will complete our solar system unit next week as we launch ourselves onto the moon.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 1 & 3
It was an exciting week as students wrapped up their solar system unit and began research for their end-of-year projects. We will continue putting our research to the test next week before we call it a year!
HIGH SCHOOL 2
The high school selected individual research projects to wrap up our year and began the question and hypothesis stage of the scientific research process. We will put each project to the test and analyze our results next week as we conclude for the last time in physical
science class.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 1 & 3
We finished our poetry books! Students did a great job on their final project of the year. They made a book of poems that includes a Biopoem, Haiku, Cinquain, Diamante, Concrete Poem, and Free Verse. Some created a digital book of poetry, and some used paper. Be sure to ask your child if you can see what they created!.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 2
Students in Mr. Houlihan’s class completed their last lessons on “Hot Sports.” We learned about skydiving, snorkeling, and sea angling. A student from elementary school joined us and worked very hard. I’ll be sending a summer packet home with similar lessons.
HIGH SCHOOL 2 – WRITING
High School students completed Opinion Essays and will enjoy a class publishing party where they will read their essays aloud on Monday.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 1 & 3
HIGH SCHOOL 2
This week, students worked on a variety of skills, including problem solving. They were encouraged to use different strategies and techniques to solve problems, allowing them to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I monitored the progress of each student and provided feedback to help them improve their understanding of math concepts. I provided one-on-one support to students who needed additional assistance.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 2
This week in math, students focused on independently strengthening their math skills with teacher support provided as needed. Students were encouraged to work at their own pace and level, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts they were learning. I provided one-on-one support to students who needed additional
assistance.
ELEMENTARY
We reviewed the power of prayer again and continued the project that will go home with us next week.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 1, 2 & 3
HIGH SCHOOL 2
We also reviewed the power of prayer and considered our individual calling in this life to build the Kingdom.
What a week! The highlight of our week was our final field trip, of this school year, to the rescue ranch! All the kids had a great time! I can’t believe school is almost over! Happy weekend!
