We had a short but fun week! The students got creative with oil pastels and decorating colorful leaves for our classroom door, and we studied different types of leaves as part of our fall theme. In honor of All Saints Day, we also learned about various saints and started brainstorming outfits for next week’s parade. One of our favorite stories this week was The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything; the students loved the suspense and fun in the story! During group activities, we practiced taking turns and enjoyed playing together. Mrs. Wilson and Ms. Baalmann enjoyed chatting with parents at conferences about all the progress we’ve seen so far this year! It was a fantastic week filled with creativity, learning, and teamwork.
Thank you to all the parents who met with us for conferences this week. Mr. Houlihan’s and Mrs. Hodge’s classes have been studying for their upcoming tests. We will have a Biology test over chapter 3 this Tuesday and a history test this Wednesday.
Highlight students of the week are Lily Gilberg and Isaac West for improved focus in the classroom and staying on task! Way to go, you two!
This week, Group 3 visited Menard’s, solved a problem, and bought the little plastic sleeves that hide cords. After discussing this with the helpful Menard personnel, we discovered these are known as “cord covers!”
Our juniors and seniors visited Meramec Community College. We gained an overview of their academic offerings and supportive services and saw actual classes in session!
