Congratulations! The auction Saturday evening was fabulous. With 360 guests attending, we had a sold-out event. The student performance was the highlight of the evening, with each student showcasing their talents. Thanks to Mrs. Dunn for the inspirational songs and skits she rehearsed with our talented performers for the past weeks! The performance was heartwarming, ending with our traditional finale, “Thank You, Lord.”
Thanks to our auction chairperson, Kelly Winter, who organized and created a flawless, meticulously run evening, along with Mrs. Dunn, who worked endless hours to make the auction run smoothly. Mrs. Dunn warehoused and organized items to create over 480 silent auction baskets at home. Debbie Satory, our decorating chairperson, transformed the Family Center into a spectacular venue creating a lively atmosphere of elegant fun! The uniquely themed table décor immediately elevated the mood as guests entered the magical auction event! Thank you, Debbie!
And finally, thanks to all of you, our families, who worked together to raise over $200,000 of the $500,000 in operational funds needed to bridge the gap between tuition for each student and the actual cost to educate each Academy student. As executive director, one of my priorities is to raise the remaining operational funds through grants, private donations, foundations, partnerships, and other initiatives; to ensure we continue to manage these funds responsibly, enabling us to continue to improve our program for the variety of students’ needs we serve while remaining debt-free. I am happy to report that we will once again reach and exceed this school year’s fundraising goal of $500,000.
A SPECIAL LUNCH TOMORROW FOR OUR STUDENTS
Tomorrow our students will be treated to a special lunch for their heartwarming performance at the auction. You don’t need to bring or buy lunches! Mrs. Cantareira will be sure to cancel any orders previously placed for tomorrow.
Principal’s Corner – Mrs. Morales
Our last Parent-Teacher conferences will be held next week. These are not mandatory but will be an opportunity to review your child’s progress over the school year and discuss expectations for the next year. Report cards will not be given until the last day of school, but the Individual Development Plan will be discussed. An email to sign up for conferences will go out this week.
Just a reminder that our final Media and Running club will be this week!
